It is necessary to form an alliance of men who value basic Human decency above all religious Dogmas. Religions receive a cultural and personal space .But No more shall we let go the religious vandalism and indecency unopposed . The Way has to be civil .For the Civil culture where Freedom of speech is valued and practiced fairly is far more important invention for mankind than any of the religious Dogmas and traditions. Human decency is above any God.
Religion is for peace is an obsolete sentence now given the bloody History of almost all Organized religions .Islam In particular because Over the years I have come to conclusion that it the most Notorious of them all .We can no longer let them drag entire world into irrationalities of dark bygone ages. A religion Like Islam has always been Imperialistic .A child of authoritarian struggle in 7th and 8th century desert land of Middle east Asia. It is gravely stuck into the culture of aggressive nomadism and clan clashes. May be that was the way of living then .Not an Ideal way but a practical way of semi-cultured nomads constantly engaged in their own safety and power struggles.
It’s a culture based on a Law book allegedly Given By God itself. With certain aspects having universal appeal like ‘Charity ‘ and ‘Brotherhood ‘but is by no means entirely universal or absolute. It is in fact quite fiercely stuck to its chaotic timeline, especially in terms of its treatment to women and criminals or immediate outcries of war and violent conflicts . The Punishments and the way of judgment prescribed would be entirely outrageous to our evolved notions of law and ethics these days.
.Personal Faith is not a problem. I am a strong believer in freedom of having a personal Faith. Problem arises when the followers of a Book take it as a absolute world from God and try to force it onto others ,using violent means .Anything That is so obviously caged in its time ,if taken as absolute , will definitely lead to myriad irrationalities for not just to the insiders of that law system but also to the rest of the world who otherwise have no attraction or even slight interest in that old Book .
The Book is full of Contradictions . Its not a fault within the context of Law given in the limited time zone (no Law is perfect) or even within context of literature .But the absolutism associated with it leads to fanaticism .And Its no secret .It is more vivid and dangerous in times where propaganda sharing is so simple through internet .All you have to do is start an internet website and put few pictures .Cry of ‘Honor and shame’ some quotes from the old book ,twisted to convenient extent and the general Human stupidity .You have a perfect mixture of irrationalities and fanaticism ,generated to an Organized terrorism or just vandalism of public property both within and outside of Islamic law system and societies.
The idea is not to target a particular culture .But to target the absolutism , intolerance or even worse the violent intolerance and the irrationalities that are a direct threat to world peace and Human Decency .
Human faith is a complex thing what pleasures people derive out of irrationalities is a matter of deep and collective psychoanalysis . But Freedom of speech is simple thing and Must be protected. So is Human decency. It is universal and above Islam, or any other religion for that matter .
